As I sit on my front porch and watch cars speed by, I am very pleased that the police department is going to step up enforcement in this area. In an informal survey, using a hand held radar gun, for 1.5 hours, 79% of the cars were speeding, and 50% were speeding more than 10 miles over the posted speed limit of 25 mph. I have 2 small children, and I know others in the area do as well. We all live here for different reasons, but we should be extra careful with endangering others lives for a 30 - 45 second time benefit to home or the freeway.
